Oxford Street shops are especially busy during the Christmas season. Aside from the thousands of shoppers flocking to the World’s busiest shopping street to stock up on Christmas gifts, many people also head to Oxford Street to enjoy the World famous Oxford Street Christmas Lights.
The 2011 Oxford Street Christmas lights were turned on by girl group, The Saturdays, on Tuesday, 1st November 2011 outside Marks & Spencer Marble Arch.
2011 has become synonymous with the word austerity, a time of prolonged financial crisis where even the most essential services are being cut back. Despite the continuing financial doom and gloom in 2011 the Oxford Street Christmas Lights are of course essential. Although your budget may not permit you to visit London you can still enjoy the Oxford Street Christmas Lights with our photos.
If you do decide to visit the Christmas lights then you may well want to visit one of the great bars in London we recommended last week.
