With the recent death of musical icon Amy Winehouse there has been an outpouring of emotion. Amy seems to have been loved by everyone – except the tabloid press – which makes her passing even more tragic.
With Amy Winehouse’s death comes the inevitable hosthumous album released in London on Monday 5th December, just in time for Christmas. The album titled Lioness: Hidden Treasures consists of twelve songs recorded between 2002 and earlier this year.
During recording sessions in 2008 with Salaam Remi she recorded a duet with rapper Nas, “Like Smoke,” that will be on the new record. One of my favourite artists and of the greatest rappers of all time, Nas a.k.a. Nasir Jones.
