The Sainsbury Archive documents the history of one of the nation’s oldest retailers from when it was founded in London in 1869, through to present day.  It also provides a unique illustration of the transformation that has occurred in retailing and in shopping and eating habits since the mid-19th century.

The Archive is located at the Museum of London in Docklands and is open to the public. Visitors can view displays from the collection and browse a range of digital and paper-based resources from the library and archives, including reference books, image files, films and journals covering the history of Sainsbury’s and shopping and the history of the docks and the local area. The separate search room is open by appointment for more in-depth research using material from the archive collections.

The Forbidden London Studio is a creative environment in the heart of Central London. The studio currently comprises of a fully equipped photographic studio and recording studio.

The studio is ideally located just 2 minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus on historic Jermyn Street. Both the photographic studio and the recording studio are available to hire.

The recording studio is designed to help recording artists and producers conduct the most productive recording sessions possible.

The recording studio is fully equipped with all the items you will need to record vocals or instruments.

The home of Cuisine Nicoise, whose origins lie in old Genoese cooking, is the old town of Nice where French Mediterranean cuisine has blended and evolved with the influences of Ligurian Italy across the border.

Local produce, notably artichokes, courgettes, lemons, olives, tomatoes, peppers and girolles are used generously with sea food, meat and fresh pasta to produce a style that’s light and healthy. Upstairs is a classy bistro-style restaurant which is a great place for lunch or dinner. We are still offering our popular take-away service from Curzon Street and you can also order online.

Downstairs is a funky new lounge bar and dining area. This is something completely new and provides a twist on the traditional Lebanese dining experience. The room is sumptuous and enveloping with a definite lounge bar feel. The back-lit marble bar tantalisingly reflects in the regal mirror-wall opposite and gold recesses glitter from the royal purple walls. It is the new Mayfair evening destination for drinks, dinner or just to meet friends in this secret hideaway.

Entertainment: Noura Mayfair runs a “Lebanese Night” in the downstairs lounge bar and restaurant on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are essential. During the evening you will dine on a specially selected Lebanese menu, be entertained with live music, and enjoy a Belly dancer show. Shisha are also available on request. The “Lebanese Night” can also be booked for private functions any night of the week.
