We Will Rock You, the longest running rock musical, is in its 8th running year at the Dominion Theatre.

Writer Ben Elton teamed up with the members of the legendary band Queen to create the story of a futuristic world where rock music has been banned, and Globalisation has taken over. Only the Bohemians, the rebels in this society, are against the Company Computers generating music and deciding hits years in advance. They turn to a man named Galileo to try and save them from this “Ga Ga” world.

We Will Rock You has an outstanding score, featuring many of Queen’s greatest hits including, Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen and Radio Ga Ga.

Only after a Bishop treats him with kindness does he decide to start his life anew. 9 years later, he has become the mayor, but when a face from the past recognises him – his new life and everything he has worked for becomes threatened. The musical’s dramatic score includes hits, “One Day More” and “Do You Hear the People Sing.”

Set in prohibition era in Chicago, chorus girl Roxie Hart kills her lover and ends up in the Cook County Jail. She befriends Velma Kelly, also a murderess, and a headline star as well. The two team up to create an unusual night club act, which they hope will keep them in the public eye. They enlist the help of the calculating lawyer, Billy Flynn, who promises to make them stars and keep them away from death row, where they will be sentenced if they lose their cases. Chicago’s sassy score includes “All That Jazz”, “Roxie,” and “Razzle Dazzle.”

The Lion King has been running for 10 years and is performed at The Lyceum Theatre. Originally a Disney Cartoon film, released in 1994, it opened in London as a musical in October 1999 (it opened on Broadway in November 1997). Utilizing masks, puppets, and extraordinary costumes the musical tells the story of young Simba, son of Mufasa, who is the King of a pride of lions. The musical follows the adventures of Simba, who must begin to take on responsibilities as he will one day take over for his father. He is faced with many obstacles along the way including his Uncle Scar who is desperate to steal the title of King, seeking to kill Simba and his father. The stunning score by Elton John, with words by Tim Rice, includes “Circle of Life,” “I Just Can’t Wait to be King,” “Hakuna Matata,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”.

The musical is the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a “disco diva” who witnesses a murder and must be put into protective custody. She is hidden in a convent and finds herself in disagreement with the rigid lifestyle of being a nun and with her Mother Superior. Making the best of her situation, she uses her disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir and wins over the church and the community. However, in doing so she reveals her identity and it’s up to her new found friends to help protect her against the gang in pursuit. The musical features a new score, created by Alan Menken, 8-time Oscar winner, whose credits also include The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and the 2007 film Enchanted. Sister Act is performed at the London Palladium Theatre.

She discovers her mother’s diary from when she was born, and finds out that three men could potentially be her father. She invites them all to her wedding, assured she will know who her father is. However, upon seeing them she realizes she doesn’t have a clue. Drama entails as Donna discovers that each man has arrived, each of the men thinks they are the real father, and Sophie’s fianc� becomes increasingly frustrated with the entire situation.
